Steps of St. Paul

Operated All Year Long

Day 1: Arrival Salonika (Thessaloniki) (D) Meet and assist at the Thessaloniki Airport and transfer to the Hotel. Dinner and overnight in Salonika.

Day 2: Kavala & Philippi (B/D) Departure for Philippi and the beautiful City of Kavala. St Paul landed here with his disciples Timothy and Sillas. Lucas the evangelist also came to the City from Troas. Kavala was once named Christoupolis because it was the first City in Europe to accept Christianity. We will be visiting Philippi where Paul preached his first evangelical sermon and where early Christians were baptized in European soil, we will be visiting the baptismal site where Lydia converted to Christianity. Our tour will be continuing with a visit to a crypt dating from the Roman period that is believed to have served as a prison for St. Paul, to the Market place, the famous Acropolis and the Theater. We will be returning to Salonica late in the afternoon for Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Salonika & Vergina (B/D) City Tour of Salonika including St. Demetrius Basilica and St. Sofia Church, followed by a visit to Berea with the famous mosaics of Paul. We will also be visiting the Tomb of King Phillip (father of Alexander the Great) in Vergina, in order to admire the unique treasures of the Museum. We will be continuing our trip to the city of Kalambaka for Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Kalambaka (Meteora) (B/D) We will be visiting the 14th Century Byzantine Monasteries of Meteora built on summits of massive rocks, a truly unique place. After Meteora we will be travelling to Athens and finally arriving to the Hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Athens & Corinth (B/D) Today our tour of Athens will be starting at the Acropolis, the Parthenon and Mars Hill where Paul stood and preached and the Agora (the ancient Market place), we will also visit the new Acropolis Museum, and continue the City tour to the Olympic Stadium, the House of Parliament and the tomb of the unknown soldier. We will proceed with our motor coach to the City of Corinth. Our first stop will be at the Corinth Canal to enjoy the magnificent view and take photos. Then we will travel to the archeological site of Ancient Corinth, where Paul wrote his most familiar letters visit the Archaeological Museum, the Bema, the Market Place and the Temples. We will be returning to Athens late in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: (B) Hotel Checkout and transfer to the Airport for departure OR Transfer to port for the 3 night cruise to the Greek islands and Turkey. (B/L/D) Embarkation to Mykonos - arrival in Mykonos in the afternoon. The island of Mykonos is a marvelous cosmopolitan holiday hotspot that combines an international jet-set atmosphere with a stimulating nightlife. We recommend a nonchalant stroll in Mykonos Town to admire the whitewashed houses and flowered balconies, and to visit the beautiful church of Panagia Paraportiani. Other attractions in Mykonos Town include the island’s trademark, the windmills and the charming area of Alefkandra, Mykonos’ Little Venice. Departure for Patmos Island. Lunch, dinner and overnight on board.

Day 7: Kusadasi – Patmos (B/L/D) Arrival at the Turkish town of Kusadasi. We offer an optional excursion to the ancient city of Ephesus. Sailing back to Greece and the Island of Patmos. Patmos, characterized as the

Day 8: Heraklion - Santorini (B/L/D) Arrival at the city of Heraklion in Crete which was the center of the great Minoan Civilization, which flourished during the Bronze Age and abruptly ended with the eruption of the volcano of Santorini. Enjoy an optional excursion to the incredible ruins of the Palace of Knossos, which was discovered in 1899 by Sir Arthur Evans, and have been partially reconstructed. The Archaeological Museum in Heraklion displays many of the treasures found during the excavations. Departure for Santorini, one of the most breathtaking Greek Islands, which is also known as the

Day 9: Airport Transfer- Flight back (B) Disembarkation at the port of Piraeus and transfer to the Athens Airport for the flight back.
